Wenru Wang


Associate Professor with Tenure

National University of Singapore

Wenru Wang is currently an Associate Professor at Alice Lee Centre for Nursing Studies, National University of Singapore. She is also an ambassador of the World Federation of Critical Care Nurses, and a member of Alexandra Health System Nursing Research Committee in Singapore.
Dr. Wang’s professional career focuses on nursing research and teaching at universities. She specialises in chronic and long-term care research, and her major research interests include cardiovascular nursing and cardiac rehabilitation. Her studies focus on the design and delivery of innovative complex psychosocial interventions (e.g. mHealth, telemedicine) for patients with chronic illness. Dr. Wang’s research expertise covers quantitative, qualitative and mix-design methods. Over the past years, she has been awarded over 40 external competitive grants with amount of more than US$2.5 million. She has authored two books and ten book chapters and has published over 180 peer-reviewed papers. She has also been invited to deliver keynote speeches and conduct seminars/workshops at various national and international nursing conferences and universities, and received a number of national and international awards for her excellent contributions in nursing research and education.
Dr. Wang received her BScMed from Xi’an Jiaotong University in China in 1992, and MScN from Chiang Mai University in Thailand in 1996. She later obtained her PhD in nursing from the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
