Dr. Myrick is an Associate Professor in the School of Interdisciplinary Health and Science at Saint Joseph University, Connecticut, Associate Professor of Medical Sciences at Quinnipiac University, and a Nurse Practitioner at Orthopedic Associates of Hartford. As a Nurse Practitioner with expertise in orthopedics and sports medicine, she blends her clinical, scholarly and educational work in an interprofessional manner. She recently developed a new post-masters certificate program for nurse practitioners and physician assistants in the specialty of orthopedics and sports medicine. One textbook filled a gap in the area of health assessment, providing the first inclusive and holistic, textbook for advanced practice nurses and physician assistants. The other provides orthopedic and sports medicine case studies for nurse practitioners. Dr. Myrick earned a post-doctoral fellowship in methods, is a fellow of the Leadership for Academic Nursing Program (LANP), and is a fellow of Interprofessional Education. Her accomplishments have been acknowledged by colleagues with the awarding of such honors as the National Association of Orthopedics (NAON) Clara Donahoo Lectureship Award, Quinnipiac Faculty Scholar Award and the National Organization of Nurse Practitioner Faculty (NONPF) Outstanding Researcher Award.
