Yinglan Li


Vice Dean

Central South University

Yinglan Li is currently the Vice Dean of Xiangya School of Nursing, Central South University, and also the Vice President of Chinese Nursing Association.

Dr. Yinglan Li has been committed to nursing practice, research and education, and has made important contributions in the field of nurse occupational safety and patient safety management. As the academic leader of Xiangya Hospital of Central South University, she led the establishment of needle-stick injury report system for nurses, published a monograph on nurse occupational safety in China, participated in the formulation of China’s occupational health related consensus and guidelines. She took the lead to established an early warning system for patient in China and promoted it nationwide, led and organized Chinese VTE Nursing Early Warning Alliance. Serving as the director, Dr. Li promoted the standardization and scientificity of VTE nursing early warning management in China, and provided the basis for the formulation and implementation of national policies related to VTE. Furthermore, she actively engaged in social services, established a Nursing Assistance Mode of “Tertiary hospitals-secondary hospital-community health centers-community nursing service” with wide influence, which has improved the primary medical capacity and population health.

Dr. Yinglan Li received her MSN from Chiang Mai University in Thailand. As visiting scholar, she received further education and training at Yale University and University of Washington in the USA. Dr. Yinglan Li later earned her PhD degree in Social Medicine and Health Management from Xiangya School of Public Health, Central South University.
